Malala Yousafzai was born in Pakistan and because she was a girl, she would not be given the same opportunities as boys. She loved school and excelled at her classes. Her dad owned a school and taught there. When she was 10, the Taliban invaded Pakistan and gave women and girls 0 rights. Malala spoke out because she wanted an education. Because of this, the Taliban shot her in the head. She was lucky to survive and recovered after several operations and a 9 month healing period. Malala now lived in England with her family and won the Nobel Peace Prize. She also spoke at the United Nations. This was not my favorite book ever, but it was very informative.
