This book is about a Somalian refugee named Omar who who has to leave his land because of war. He, among many others, run away. They all go to a camp run by the UN. A woman named Fatuma adopts them and takes care of them as a foster mom. He takes care of his brother and while doing that time passes by. A man named Salan comes to their camp. He tells him that his brother, Hassan, is grown up and can take care of himself, and he tells Omar that he should go to school. Omar listens and he passes his exams. One day, The UN call Omar and Hassan for an interview for resettlement. They are accepted for resettlement and they move to America. I think that this book is awesome!

This book was about two boys who lived in a refugee camp with no parents. The youngest had a disability and it was the oldest's boy's job to take care of him. The oldest brother went to school and passed every test and even made it in to High School. Then, after years as being a refugee they were interviewed several times and got excepted to go and live in the United States of America. The youngest boy got medicine and made him better and the oldest got a job. I really liked this book because it tells you about all the troubles the refugees have and what they would go throw. You can appreciate and always help other people when you can. I really liked this book and would definitely read it again!
