Student Review: "The Wizard of Oz," by L. Frank Baum

This book was about about a girl who gets in a cyclone and transports to a magical world. Dorthy and her dog Toto go on amazing adventures and meets new friends along the way. She meets Scarecrow, Tin man, and the Cowardly Lion. Dorthy finds out that she needs to travel to Emerald City to confront the great Oz you could supposedly take her back to Kansas. Her friends travel with her because they want to get something from the Oz. The Scarecrow wants brains, the Tin man wants a heart, and the Cowardly lion wants courage. When they get there, the wizard wants them to kill the wicked witch of the east so there would be no more bad itches in the land of Oz. Dorthy gets their and melts the wicked witch and goes back to Emerald City. The wizard of Oz give the Scarecrow brains, the Tin man a heart, the Cowardly Lion courage, and makes a hot air balloon for Dorthy to go back to Kansas. Suddenly, the hot air balloon flies away and she has to go to the good witch and she transports back to Kansas with Toto. I really enjoyed reading this book because of ll the adventure in it! I would definitely read this book again!
