Student Review: "The Secret Garden," by Frances Hodgson Burnett

The Secret Garden is about a young girl named Mary whose parents are killed from a disease in her home of India, and she has to go to England to live with her uncle. While living there she finds a key that unlocks a garden that has been kept away for ten years. She and her friend Dickon work on the garden to make it come alive again and they succeed. Mary stumbles across Colin, her cosin, who has made himself believe that he can't walk and that he is going to die. Mary and Dickon convince him to go outside into the garden and he turns his mind around and learns to walk and convinces his father to love him again.
