The Bennet family invites Mr. Bingley over for dinner and hits it off with the oldest Bennet daughter named Jane. Mr. Bingley has a friend named Mr. Darcy who is a very disagreeable man in the eyes of Elizabeth Bennet, the second oldest daughter of Bennet family. When Mr. Bingley suddenly up and leaves for London with no explanation, Jane is heart broken. Elizabeth blames Mr. Darcy and accuses him of convincing his friend to leave after turning him down when he proposed to her. He writes her a letter explaining what happened and she feels bad for having falsely accused Mr. Darcy. A few months pass, and Mr. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth again and she accepts. Mr. Bingley comes back to propose to Jane, and she is very happy. I liked this book and would read it again!
