Student Review: "Our Castle by the Sea," by Lucy Strange

Petra lives in a lighthouse next to the sea during the first year of the second world war. She has a very courageous older sister named Magda, and a loving mother and father. Her mother is German and gets taken away when people suspect she might be a traitor. Her father and Magda leave to help some British soldiers the night that Petra hears her father confess to a police-men that he is the Nazi spy everyone has been looking for. Her father is killed, and Magda returns. Petra finds out who the saboteur is while a bomb from an air raid sends her flying, braking her back in two different places. She may never walk again, and she and her sister find the spy and their lost grandfather. I liked this book and would read it again.
