Dry

This book is about Kelton and Alyssa, two neighbors thrown into a catastrophe together. They stick together through circumstances that would tear others apart, and their families and friends soon begin to turn on each other. I love this book because it reminds me of the underlying tension that lies beneath our fragile vision of society. Any minute a major crisis could occur, and our world would descend in to utter anarchy. When lives are truly at stake, no one can trust each other. Many people will turn to violence to protect themselves, and others will be trampled on the way to survival. A single drop of kindness can make the difference between life and death.
