Student Review: "Allies," by Alan Gratz

Allies is about the fictional characters, based off of real people, fighting on d-day in world war ll. The story of Dee; a soldier from Germany fighting for the Americans, Samira; the daughter of a French resistance member, Henry; an African-American medic and others. The author contracted it so the whole story happened in one day, but it was over the course of two days. This was a little bit hard to read because it is hard to imagine the scene the author describes through the characters because of how gruesome the scene could be. This book was good and well written.
