Maddie Fynn has always had a gift, but it's definitely not a gift she wants. She can instantly see someone's death date as soon as she looks at them or even if she sees a photograph of them taken from up close. Since her father died when she was little, she's blamed herself for not realizing what the numbers meant. When a woman comes to her asking for the death date of one of her children, Maddie sees that another of this woman's kids has a death date the following week. She warns the woman, and when her son is found brutally murdered, Maddie is accused of having something to do with it. Now her gift is a curse as another student is murdered soon after. Full of twists and with Maddie as a very sympathetic main character, this was an enjoyable read!
Mrs. Denney's Rating: ***1/2
