Review: "Verify," by Joelle Charbonneau

In Meri's America, lies and fake news have been slowly eradicated. All paper is outlawed, with any news or school books being digital only. What Meri doesn't know is that the powers that be have actually been slowly erasing history and words from the vernacular to make their society more agreeable and ignorant to what the truth of history actually holds. When Meri's mother is killed, an underground group of rebels contacts Meri and tells her the truth behind her mother using her art to try to bring the truth to the people. Meri is adamant that they do whatever it takes to educate the people on the truth, but the powers that be are masters at deception.
