Review: "Starfish," by Lisa Fipps

Her whole life, Ellie has been tormented about her weight. Wearing a whale swimsuit to a party in fifth grade didn't help. Even her own brother bullies her for her weight. But no one is as tough on her as her mother. She's trying to convince Ellie to get her stomach stapled in order to lost weight. Luckily, Ellie has an ally in her dad and in a counselor she's seeing deal with her bullying. This is one of my favorites I've read this year - and the audiobook is incredible. The book has a lot of heart and emotion and is such a poignant reminder to see everyone as humans!
