Review: "Scar Island," by Dan Gemeinhart

When 12-year-old Jonathan Grigsby is sent to a boys reformatory on Scar Island, he is sure he deserves any hardship that comes his way. He keeps his reason for being on the island a secret from the others. When a freak accident happens and all the adults on the island are killed, the boys of Scar Island decide they'd rather try to stay there without adult supervision than go back to their regular lives. It doesn't seem like they've made the worst decision until one of the boys decides he's in charge and the others need to fall in line - or else!
