Review: "Nyxia," by Scott Reintgen

Emmett can't believe it when he's chosen by the Babel Corporation as one of ten kids to go to space and mine for Nyxia. He's promised a lifetime of fortune and top-notch medical care for his family, which is important since his mom is battling cancer. What he doesn't realize is that he and the other ten kids are competing for only 8 spots to travel to Eden and mine Nyxia, a versatile and valuable substance only found on Eden. The kids find out that there are predators on the planet that will not hunt children, and that's why they've been chosen for this important role. This is the first book in a trilogy and I look forward to reading more about Emmett and his shipmates as they make their way to Eden.
