Review: "Nightbooks," by J.A. White

Alex is tired of being called a freak by both his classmates and teachers. He can't help it that he has a knack and interest in writing creepy stories! He decides the only way to be "normal" is to burn his Nightbooks once and for all, but on the way to the incinerator in his apartment building, he is lured into a witch's apartment. Now there's no escape and the only way to stay alive is to read a scary story to the witch each night. But he also tries to plan an escape with the help of another girl who is trapped too.
