Black teenager Toya Williams has an encounter with Jesus and she tells him that more than anything, she wishes she was a white girl. She thinks that all of her problems will be solved if the color of her skin changes. When she wakes up the next morning, Jesus has granted her wish. At school, the boy who always bullied her when she was black is suddenly nice to her and even protects her when another boy tries to take advantage of her. Toya's brother thinks she's crazy to want to be white, but he supports her mostly. This premise sounded interesting, but the characters were always their skin color rather than fleshed out beyond stereotypes.
