Inkling

This audiobook was fantastic! There were parts that I was laughing out loud and parts where I couldn't wait to hear what happened next!

When Ethan's mom gets sick and passes away, his dad falls into a rut. His dad is a successful artist and comic creator, but he's stuck with artist's block. Ethan peeks into his dad's sketchbook and an amazing thing happens - an ink blot comes to life straight from the sketchbook! Ethan feeds the ink blot with books and pictures from all around his house and it absorbs and learns from them. He starts to talk and Ethan calls it Inkling. Ethan doesn't know why or how Inkling came to life, but he loves it! His nemesis, Vyka, finds out about Inkling and kidnaps it. She wants to give Inkling to her dad, who happens to be Ethan's dad's publisher, so he can use it to finally produce more hit comics. Chaos ensues and Ethan and his dad race to rescue Inkling before it's too late.
