This book is an artist’s memoir. The author details his very rough and unconventional childhood in graphic novel form. His mother was a thief and drug addict. He didn’t know who his father was. His grandparents raised him, but grandma drinks a lot and can be very mean. He discovers a passion for art even when his grandparents don’t like it. I loved the art in this book and can see a lot of my students relating to what Jarrett went through.
Mrs. Denney's Rating: ***1/2
