Andrea's brother Francis disappeared three years ago and Andrea blames herself. She comforted him when he had a nightmare and left the window open to let in the fresh air. The next morning, Francis was gone and there was tiny vial of sand on the windowsill. Andrea always thought it might be a clue to where Francis was taken. On a particularly desperate night, Andrea takes a walk and happens upon a circus - the entry fee is to give up one dream, one nightmare, or one memory. Once it's given up, it will live on in a tent inside the circus, but it will leave the person who gives it up. Andrea decides to give up the memory of the night Francis disappeared, hoping it will alleviate her pain. But once she enters the circus, she notices a boy who looks a lot like Francis and she sees a tent with his nightmare! Could he be at this magical circus and unable to return home? Andrea is determined to figure it out!
