Review: "Red: The True Story of Red Riding Hood," by Liesl Shurtliff

Red is in a panic! Her magical grandmother has fallen ill and it's up to Red to search the woods to find the ingredients to a potion that will heal her. During her adventure, she encounters Goldie (AKA Goldilocks) and saves her from an angry bear. She encounters Borlun, a thousand-year-old dwarf, who is not too happy that Red grabs him by the beard and orders him to point her to magical objects that offer everlasting life. But the objects don't necessarily give the perfect outcome that Red desires. I really enjoyed this tale from this author! It's funny and exciting and really imaginative.
