Benedict "Bunny" Thompson has major hops. He's a star high school basketball player and is only a sophomore. Without telling his best friend, Nasir, Bunny transfers to a private school in town on a basketball scholarship. Nasir feels betrayed and stops speaking to Bunny altogether. When Nasir's cousin, Wallace, starts betting against Bunny's team in order to make money to save his grandma from being evicted from their home, Nasir tries to dig up dirt on Bunny to make him ride the bench so Wallace can win his bets. It doesn't help Bunny's cause that he's also dating a girl that he knew Nasir had his sights on. When things with Wallace get real serious, Nasir decides to work with Bunny to try to save his cousin from the trouble he's in. *Audiobook had two narrators and neither were very impressive, in my opinion. It made this a bit of a chore to get through.
