Teens have it rough. Emotions and hormones are out of whack. Coping skills are sometimes non-existent. But for Anna, her threat of suicide has led her parents to check her in to a mental health facility. She has 21 days to grow and learn to cope with social anxiety. The other kids she meets at the facility have an array of issues and the book is very realistic. Though I appreciate the premise of this book, I grew tired of the narrator and her crush, probably because I'm not currently a teenage girl. I get it though! I definitely had those same thoughts when I was plotting my first kiss, but as an adult, it was too much for me.
