Silence of Murder

When Jeremy is nine, he begins a period in his life of selective mutism. He hasn't spoken a word in ten years. When Coach Johnson is found murdered and Jeremy was the last person seen at the scene, he is charged with murder. Because of his mutism, he will not tell anyone what happened that morning. He won't even write it down. Is he complicit in the crime or is he covering for someone else? His sister takes it upon herself to find out. She doesn't believe her brother is capable of murder and thinks he definitely didn't have any motive to hurt Coach Johnson, but her investigation leads her to disturbing evidence that he may have more to hide than she thought. Great mystery and quick read!
