This sequel takes Amelia and Joshua to the depths of New Orleans and voodoo magic. Amelia is given a message from the demons that they are coming for her and if she doesn't submit to them, they will come for everyone she loves. She knows the only way to protect Joshua is to leave him, but after spending decades wandering after her death, she's not ready to give him up just yet. Joshua's family is heading to New Orleans for a Christmas visit, and there, Amelia is seen by other humans. She can't believe that there are so many who can see and hear her, but Joshua is still the one to receive her special touches. But Amelia's ghost-life is in danger so Joshua enlists the help of a voodoo magician named Gabrielle to help. With many twists and turns, I enjoyed this sequel almost as much as the original!
