This romantic ghost story was great - and it has Oklahoma connections. Eighteen-year-old Amelia has been dead for a while. Her spirit has been wandering, and she's mostly stayed around the area where she died - a rickety place called High Bridge near Wilburton, OK, where many souls have perished in the water. She has nightmares of drowning, which is strange because ghosts don't need sleep. When she witnesses a car crash off the bridge and into the river below, she is able to save the boy, Joshua, from drowning. After his near death, he's able to see Amelia, even when no one else can. They have a bond, and a romance ensues. But, Amelia's hereafter is complicated by another ghost, Eli, who is intent on enslaving Amelia's spirit for all of time. I really enjoyed this ghostly tale and have already started the sequel.
