Frozen Charlotte

When teens Sophie and Jay play around with a ouija board app on Jay's phone and Sophie asks for the ghost of her distant cousin Rebecca to contact them, she has no idea what the consequences will be. Rebecca died under mysterious circumstances at her family home on the Isle of Skye several years earlier, and Sophie just so happens to be heading to the Isle of Skye to visit Rebecca's family in the following week. What Sophie doesn't realize is that Rebecca's death, although tragic, may not have been accidental. In fact, rumor is that there are creepy dolls at the property that whisper to girls to carry out the most evil of deeds. The dolls are called Frozen Charlotte dolls and Sophie does, in fact, hear them whisper to her and they do freak her out. Most concerning though is that Sophie is also seeing Rebecca's ghost in the home and though she confides in Rebecca's siblings, some of them are not what they seem either! I found this book to be pretty scary in parts. Vivid details, secluded Scottish haunted setting, and murderous dolls? Awesome.
