Genius: The game follows the story of 3 teenagers; Rex Huerta, a prodigy programmer out of california, Tunde Oni, a Self- taught engineer from Nigeria, and ‘Painted wolf’, a Chinese activist blogger. They all have problems that would be sorted out by participating in the game, Tunde especially. He is being blackmailed by a Nigerian General to win. Rex and Painted Wolf are trying to help him win the competition. Rex was not invited, so he resorted to hacking the database holding the names of the people to get an invite. He wants to win so he can use the prize, (a large grant and a laboratory to carry out anything the winner wants) to find his missing older brother, Teo. The competition, called simply: ‘The Game’, which Is run by the richest man in the world, Kiran Biswas, who is the CEO Of OndScan, the richest company in the world. The competition consists of two ‘phases’; the first is to find where the second phase takes place, and the second is to Build a robot, that will crack open a safe, then Insert a USB Stick into a laptop which is in the safe and download the virus to the laptop. The team Tunde is on for the second phase wins the challenge, but OndScan tries to get Rex arrested for hacking the competition, even though Kiran said Rex wouldn’t be in trouble for hacking. The book ends with a manuscript of a video of rex finding his brother in an NYC apartment. It is the first book in the series.
