Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Beautiful China rabbit Edward Tulane is loved. His girl, Abilene, takes tremendous care of him. She is sure to dress him every day, sit him at the dinner table each night, and sing a lullaby to him every night. Edward doesn't really think much of it all. It just is what it is. Until Abilene's family goes onto a large ship to travel and Edward is accidentally thrown overboard. China rabbits can't die, so thus begins Edward's miraculous journey. He spends many days under the ocean, is rescued by a fisherman, and travels from one loving home to the next. Edward begins to feel it too, the love from the people who care for him, and the love he has for them. This is such a terrific audiobook read by Judith Light and I highly recommend it to parents who want to read a book with their elementary age kids.
