Review: "Abduction!," by Peg Kehret

Thirteen-year-old Bonnie is very protective of her 6-year-old brother, Matt. His dad is long gone, and their mother works hard to keep them fed, clothed, and happy. Every day, Bonnie walks from her middle school over to the elementary to ride the bus home with Matt, but one day he's not there. She can't figure out where he could be, and the school staff searches everywhere. It's determined that Matt was taken from the school! Bonnie and her mother are at a loss for who could have taken Matt because it seems as if he went freely. Spoiler alert (but not really) - it was Matt's dad, and he has a history of instability and anger issues. Will Bonnie find her brother? Will they survive Matt's dad and his gun?
