Edgeland

The title of this book is Edgeland and the author is Peter Kujawinski. Edgeland is an island situated near a 30-mile- wide whirlpool called the Drain. The main characters of this book are Alec and Wren. Alec is a Sun and Wren is both a Shadow and a Sun. Wren is also an orphan and a thief. Wren is planning on stealing jewels from the dead so that she can sail away from Edgeland. The jewels are on a boat, along with the dead owner, heading down the Drain. At the bottom of the Drain lies the afterlife. Wren and Alec plan to take the jewels before they can fall over the Drain. Wren and Alec go to take the jewels, but get sucked into the current, down the Drain, and into the afterlife. To escape the afterlife, Wren and Alec had to empty the afterlife of all its guests to change the current of the Drain and the current shot them out and back into the real world. The book Edgeland is a book filled with very detailed descriptions and scenes. I really enjoyed the book because it was so suspenseful, dramatic, and action packed. I highly recommend this book.
