I picked out this book to listen to in the car with my 9-year-old, not realizing it's actually book 3 in a series, and the book still holds up on its own and is fun to listen to!
Cass is petrified when her mother is kidnapped and held for ransom by the notorious Midnight Sun group. World-renowned chef Señor Hugo happens to be behind this kidnapping, and he requires Cass to find an ancient Aztec artifact known as the tuning fork if she wants her mother to be set free. The tuning fork is known to mysteriously change anything you're eating or drinking into what your heart desires. Cass, with the help of her friends Max-Ernest and Yoyogi, follow a set of clues that leads them straight into the heart of Midnight Sun territory, and straight into Señor Hugo's trap. Will they find and rescue her mother? And what is the Midnight Sun really up to? Find out in book three of this series!
