Review: "The Rumor," by Elon Hilderbrand

I loved this quick read! It's a great summer pick when you're tired of real-life drama (Trump, anyone?) and need to get your mind off of things! I started reading this one night last week, and then I picked it up again a few nights ago and finished it in that sitting! Loved it. Grace and Madeline are best friends. Madeline is an award-winning author whose dystopian book Islandia is on track for a sequel. But Madeline has severe writer's block when it comes to writing the sequel to her hit book. Grace is living the life with her wealthy businessman husband, "Fast" Eddie, and her twin girls. Her focus is on creating a beautiful garden at her Nantucket home with the help of a very handsome garden guru. When the two of them begin an affair, Madeline betrays her friend by using her personal extramarital affair as the plot for her new book. Will this ruin their friendship or will Madeline see what she's doing is wrong and back off?
