Ho hum... I thought I'd like this more than I did. It begins with a young children's librarian in a small town who is doing what she can to provide a variety of books to her most voracious reader, a ten-year-old with an overprotective religious zealot of a mother. But when he runs away from home and hides in the library, the librarian decides to take him home rather than calling the police or his parents. Only she doesn't take him home. She leaves the state instead. Unintentional kidnapping is still a crime, even if he wanted her to take him, but what follows is the strangest road trip ever.
