Serafina and the Twisted Staff is about Serafina’s life after she beats the black cloak. She continues to work at Biltmore Estate with her dad. One day the animals start to behave very strangely and Serafina gets attacked by wolves. She is saved by a mysterious man who turns out to be an ally working with Serafina’s mother to stop the person controlling the animals with his magical “twisted staff”. Braeden gets a new assistant named Rowena. They work together but do not get along as Rowena constantly tries to get rid of Serafina. Soon Serafina finds out that Rowena is the one controlling the animals. Serafina turns into a black panther, a quality she got from her father. Her father was actually a black panther who defeated the first owner of the twisted staff. After that Rowena somehow found the staff and started using it to control the animals. As Rowena changes into an owl and tries to kill Braeden, she gets attacked by his pet owl, Kess, and gets killed. Serafina saves her friend once again, destroys the staff, and sets all animals free.I loved the book and enjoyed reading it. It reveals more information about Serafina’s past and her identity. I definitely recommend the book for anybody who is interested in fantasy and mystery stories.
