It was a slow day in the library and I was able to read this book from start to finish! It's a pretty intriguing plot line, loosely based on characters from Peter Pan, even though the author not-so-loosely steals the characters' names. Wendy Darling is still in disbelief that her surfer brothers, twins John and Michael, have disappeared and are presumed dead. She decides to make her way up the California coast in search of perfect surfing spots that they might have frequented before their disappearance. At one particular spot, off the beaten path, she runs into Pete, a beautiful free spirited boy who teaches her how to surf. He and his friends live in an abandoned house high on the cliff, and Wendy stays with them to learn anything she can about her brothers. Wendy and Pete hit it off right away and Wendy loves spending time with him, but then she meets Jas, a handsome boy next door. But Jas is also a drug dealer, dealing "fairy dust" and she discovers her brother had become addicted to dust before they disappeared. Will Jas and Pete be able to tell Wendy what really happened to her brothers or will they lead her down her own path of self-destruction?
