Review: "The BFG," by Roald Dahl

I read this aloud to my 8-year-old and it was a challenge! The BFG has his own garbled up language that is quite a mouthful, but what a great story! Sophie sees the BFG one night from her orphanage window, and he scoops her up and takes her with him. Lucky for Sophie, he is a Big Friendly Giant, unlike the other human eating giants from Giant Country. Sophie and the BFG work together to come up with a plan to stop the other giants from eating humans, and they have to involve the Queen of England to succeed. Super cute story, if not tough to read aloud!
