Review: "Model Misfit," by Holly Smale

I can't say how much I enjoy listening to the Geek Girl audio books. They're so fun. Yes, the stories are a bit of fluff, but still so entertaining. My favorite character is Wilbur, the modeling agent, with his incredibly funny nicknames for Harriet and his flamboyant Papa Bear protection of her. Harriet has just been asked by Yuka Ito to be the face of her new label, which means Harriet gets to travel to Tokyo to model. She's put into an apartment with two other models, one of which is dating Nick, Harriet's first love. Harriet struggles to fit in, but what else is new? Being thrown into various modeling arenas, dealing with heartbreak, and trying to accept the fact that her stepmom is about to have a baby, Harriet has a lot going on.
